I liked the feeling that we could relax in an excellent atmosphere
hotel was in a good location for us
bathrooms, our shower was so small and very uncomfortable to use as you couldnt even turn in it. we booked two rooms and the 2nd room had no shower, no consistancy even though same rate was paid for the rooms
The location was excellent and the view was spectacular!!
The lack of available wireless internet in the rooms was disappointing given the 290 euro rate.
This is an excellent hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient without being obtrusive and nothing is too much trouble. It has the feeling of grandure from a by gone time but is very well maintained and the large rooms are very comfortable and quiet with the balcony rooms having the most spectacular views over the bay of Naples. The food we found to be of the very best standard and the balcony setting is one of the best we found in Sorrento. The pool is great in a lovely setting and the solarium is very well equiped and staffed. All in all we cannot praise this hotel enough.
The view from our balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was very good with a view to die for. Trips to Capri and Pompei booked from the hotel were excellent. I would recomment this hotel to anyone.
Spacious and beautiful rooms. Access to lovely oceanside lounge area. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful grounds with an amazing view.
Almost everything. The location is beyond spectacular - central to everything from shopping, bus stations, ferry terminals etc etc The staff, and Paolo in particular, were all so lovely and so helpful. The private beach area was such an added bonus to everything.
Breakfast could afford to have a larger variety of "healthier options" available E.G. more fresh fruit, larger variety of (healthy) cereals. Shower cubicles are extremely small and so despite the fact that my girlfriend and I are slim Asian women, we were knocking into everything as the cubicle is very small/ narrow. BUt these are extremely forgivable improvements - the hotel, hotel staff made Sorrento and our stay in the Amalfi coast a wondeful trip we will never forget.
The private beach/swimming facilities.
Breakfast buffet was not as luxurious as the hotel.
Location is excellent, views are great and staff is wonderfull. It is one of the few hotels with swimming poolfacing the sea in Sorrento.
On weekends the restaurant was close for weddings, so it was not possible to enjoy lunch & dinner with great views from its terrace.
Great views and a great location. Just a short stroll to main bus station.
very helpful staff ,magnificent views
our room112 had a very very small bathroom compared to our friends rooms
Location, location, location! Excellent for sun worshipping or base for exploring. Very quiet and relaxing, couldn't use restaurant for a few nights due to wedding parties.Got upgraded to the suite foc which was huge and very comfortable. Although didnt use tv much no english channels.
Breakfast poor, suites although great themselves the entrance corridor to the suites smells damp always.
Location near the centre of town. Lovely views from the terrace. Access to pool and private 'beach'. Comfortable public rooms. Very good breakfast. Good dinners, if a bit pricey. Friendly staff.
Our room (and our bathroom) was rather smaller than we would have expected for the price. We were shown to a larger room when we arrived but the smell of tobacco smoke was not appealing, particularly for my asthmatic wife. We immediately asked for a move. Our grown-up children had a more satisfactory room, but were only staying for 2 nights.
Beautiful room but a little noisy if you wanted to open the window. Lift access to the pool should be longer operating hours.
Service from the bars could be improved
A delightful old fashioned traditional Italian hotel. The staff were very helpful and dignified. The lift down to the beach through the rock was a bit scary, but the situation and sunbathing pier over the sea was great. The breakfasts were a little basic, but overall if you are not worried about lack of wifi and want a fabulous location where you can swim int he sea and have a campari overlooking vesuvius, I would highly recommend it. But I think a few days here is not enough: a week is really needed to get inot hte slower pace of life and really appreciate this little gem.
Breakfasts a little basic - some fresh fruit would have been good.
